Basil is former lead partner of one of Western Australia’s largest construction law teams. He has served as the Chair of the Society of Construction Law Australia, and has been a member of the Committee of the WA Construction Group of the Law Council of Australia (business section), the Construction Committee of the Law Society of Western Australia and the Construction Council of the Master Builders Association of WA.

His legal practice has included:

• Acting for owners and developers, contractors, consultants and experts

• Disputes arising in the building and construction, energy and mining & resources industries

• A variety of offshore and onshore projects for Australian and multi-national clients

Basil is also an author of novels.
